The Chemex Classic Coffee Maker is one of the most recognizable icons in the world of specialty coffee. Designed in 1941 by Dr. Peter Schlumbohm, a talented chemist and inventor, Chemex combines scientific precision with timeless design.
This model allows you to brew up to 6 cups of coffee (900 ml) and is crafted from a single piece of high-quality heat-resistant glass. Thanks to its non-porous surface, the glass does not absorb odors, oils, or residues from previous brews, ensuring a clean and authentic coffee flavor every time.
The signature wooden collar with a leather tie is not only a distinctive design feature but also provides a comfortable and secure grip while brewing and pouring.
When used with original Chemex paper filters, the brewer produces an exceptionally clean, balanced, and aromatic cup of coffee. The brewing process takes approximately 4–6 minutes, and for optimal results, it is recommended to use 6–7 grams of freshly ground coffee per 100 ml of water.
